Shia police officer martyred in ASWJ terrorist attack in Karachi

Terrorists of proscribed ASWJ shot dead a deputy superintendent of police (DSP) in Karachi’s district east on Sunday night. Martyr Faiz Ali Shigri was a Shia Muslim.

Deobandi ASWJ, the mother outfit of banned Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, ambushed DSP Traffic Police Faiz Ali Shagri in Karachi’s Gulshan-e-Iqbal area near Allah Din Park (Red Flats area). They sprayed his official car with barrage of bullets. In all 17 bullets were fired. The DSP, his driver and gunman were critically injured and rushed to hospital where DSP succumbed to wounds.

His funeral prayer was held at Garden Police Headquarters where Sindh chief minister Murad Ali Shah and IG Sindh Police A D Khwaja also attended. IG said that the murder of the DSP was a reaction to police action against the notorious terrorists.
