NACTA takes long time to ban LeJ al Alami and Jamaatul Ahrar
National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) of Pakistan has banned two more Deobandi terrorist outfits namely Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (al-Alami) and Jamaatul Ahrar. The ban is a good decision but NACTA delayed this decision since long.
Official sources said that the ban was imposed on November 11, 2016. As a matter of fact, Jamaatul Ahrar had perpetrated major terrorist attacks in all over Pakistan including massacre of Pakistani Muslims at Wagha border near Lahore.
Lashkar-e-Jhangvi al Alami also perpetrated heinous crimes including terrorist attacks on security forces, lawyers and Shia Muslims. LeJ (AA) is also an offshoot of the original LeJ named after Haq Nawaz Jhangvi, the founder of Ludhianvi’s ASWJ (Sipah-e-Sahaba) and godfather of takfiri terrorism in Pakistan.
