pak polliceBiased administration of Punjab and Sindh’s districts continue to target Shia Muslims by their biased and pro-Yazidi actions.
In Bhakkar district of Punjab, Deputy Superintendent of Police Saddar area called Safeer Shahani, a Shia notable and secretary general of the Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Bhakkar chapter. Mr. Shahani was told that he was being invited to a meeting to discuss Moharram arrangements.

But, he was detained when he reached the DSP office. The unjustifiable arrest of Mr. Shahani has sent a shockwave to the peaceful Shiites and they foresee a pro-Yazidi approach of the police that may aggravate tension during Moharram.

Earlier, in Sindh province, Deputy Commissioner Shahdadkot Shah Mohammad cancelled the permission given to the Shiites to celebrate Eid-e-Ghadeer at City Chowk.

The withdrawal of permission was made to please the outlawed terrorist outfits such as Taliabn, Sipah-e-Sahaba and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi.

Shia parties and leaders have demanded of the Prime Minister and chief ministers of Sindh and Punjab to rein in the biased officials whose tilt towards the terrorists may encourage them to create law and order problems and destroy peace.
