Chaudhry Nisar Visits MWM Chief in Hospital | Hunger Strike Pays-Off

Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan visited the ailing Majlis Wahdat ul Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan supremo Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri in a local hospital on Friday in Islamabad.

The interior minister wished well-being for the MWM chief requesting him to forgo his two and half month long hunger strike.

He added that the government is willing to negotiate and he himself took the responsibility of fulfillment of MWM demands.


 

“You are not just an asset to the Shiite Nation but to Pakistan”, he added.


 

Allama Raja Nasir has been on a 85 days long hunger strike against the atrocities faced by the shiite nation at the hands of militants and the current regime. They demand to “Rid Pakistan of Militancy”. Lately, not only the shiite nation but whole of Pakistan was at blaze of terrorism at the hands of militants from banned outfits.Rate increased in target killings with numbers added particularly in Shiite community. Amid this MWM’s Allama Raja Nasir voiced out, using his democratic right, went on a hunger strike which has so far lasted 85 days.

Many a sessions took place in dialgoue between the demonstrating party and the state, with MWM supremo not budging an inch from his stance. 

Realizing the seriousness of the issue, later, a number of Punjab governments delegations met MWM with a number of their demands agreed upon; to mention the ones pertaining to Parachinar, a search operation bearing fruits in DI Khan, KPK issues been addressed, with work in progress relating to other issues.

Reports confirm that Chaudhry Nisar met MWM Chief on a several prior occassions during the strike, where he pledged full support to not only Allama Nasir but his cause.
