Karachi: Major terrorists of LeJ and Al-Qaeda killed during encounter

Shiite News: Karachi police has claimed to kill four terrorists of banned LeJ and AL-Qaeda of the subcontinent during an encounter near Safoora Goth.

According to SSP Malir Rao Anwar, raid owas conducted in Sachal area of Safoora Goth, upon confirmed news of terrorists’ presence but terrorists started firing on police during the search operation after which police retaliated. Four terrorists were killed by the police, during the encounter.

Rao Anwar told that killed terrorists belonged to banned LeJ and sub-continent branch of Al-Qaeda and weapons, hand grenades and other material was also recovered from terrorists. The terrorists were planning a huge terrorist act in the city and were planning to attack a particular party and were also involved in attacking Rangers, police and other security forces, sources told.

Police has taken terrorists’ bodies in custody for further action whereas search operation is also being conducted in areas near their hideout, for arrests of more terrorists.
