More than a dozen people arrested from Lahore for having links with Daesh

Secret agencies carried out raids in different areas of Lahore upon identification of Mehar Hamid who was arrested allegedly for having links with Daesh and had arrested more than a dozen people. All the arrested people allegedly have links with Daesh. CTD and Special Branch sources told that a network of Daesh is present in Lahore city and it was revealed after the Peshawar incident when a large number of people were arrested from Punjab and were investigated. It was then revealed that a group was active in Punjab for hiring people for Daesh and when that group was arrested Daesh’s literature and other organizational material was also discovered. The recent raids were conducted by secret agencies in Shera Kot, Badami Bagh, Iqbal Town, Green Town, Kahina and Jalu areas.
