Supreme National Security Council Is the Crossroads of National Affairs: Supreme Leader

Shiite News: Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Major General Dr. Mohsen Rezaei met with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Imam Syed Mojtaba Khamenei (may Allah protect him). In this meeting, the Supreme Leader, terming the Supreme National Security Council and its Secretariat the crossroads of national affairs, emphasized the mutual effects of the four domains of culture, politics, economy, and security, and the preparation of necessary requirements alongside decision-making in every domain.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution said that for making solid and stable decisions, it is necessary that every action have a roadmap based on a complete picture from its starting point to its end.

Other points discussed in the meeting included strengthening national unity and solidarity and mutual trust between the people and officials; benefiting from the capacity of the Constitution, especially Article 176, in order to assist the President and administrative institutions for ease and speed in resolving national problems; protecting national and regional security through the management of the Strait of Hormuz; and stabilizing bilateral relations with neighboring countries on the basis of sustainable mutual interests.

The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution termed the enemy’s helplessness a fruit of national resistance and emphasized active and timely information dissemination to maintain the people’s presence in the defense of the country and the system, and also stressed pursuing the achievement of the rights and interests of the Iranian nation and the resistance front through the implementation of the conditions presented by national officials with the aim of ending the war and the situation of “neither war nor peace.”

In this meeting, the Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council presented a report on the national situation and ongoing efforts in various domains. Dr. Mohsen Rezaei stated that the implementation of the Islamic Republic’s strategic policy of “organizing regional arrangements and the order emerging from within the region” is among the Secretariat’s ongoing measures.
