Ayatollah Sistani’s Office Provides $11 Million in Aid to War-Affected Families in Iran, Foundation Stone Laid for Minab School

Shiite News: The office of Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani has provided $11 million in financial assistance for the rehabilitation of families affected by the recent war in Iran, including families of those killed in the conflict. The aid was distributed to help affected families meet their living needs and recover from the losses they suffered. A report published on September 16, 2026, also confirmed the allocation of $11 million and the launch of an educational project in Minab.

Muhammad Jawad al-Ahmad, a senior member of Ayatollah Sistani’s office, formally announced that the relief committee had completed visits to Tehran, Minab and other Iranian cities as part of its humanitarian mission. He said the distribution of the special financial assistance among families of those killed and other affected households had been successfully completed.

According to the report, $11 million was distributed among 3,600 affected families during this phase of the relief effort. The primary purpose of the financial assistance was to help families meet their daily needs and compensate, to the extent possible, for the human and material losses they suffered.

Alongside the transparent distribution of financial assistance, the relief committee has continued its welfare and development projects. As part of these efforts, a foundation-stone ceremony was held in Minab for the “Martyrs of Minab School.” The project is being implemented with the participation and direct supervision of the Holy Husseiniya Shrine, with the aim of providing quality educational facilities for children in the area.
