Saudi-Backed Forces Suffer Heavy Losses in Yemen, More Than 2,000 Personnel Killed or Wounded

Shiite News: The spokesman for mercenary forces affiliated with Saudi Arabia and operating under the command of Tariq Saleh has acknowledged that at least 2,000 of their personnel were killed or wounded during recent clashes in Yemen’s western coastal region.

According to the spokesman, Saudi-backed forces are suffering heavy casualties on a daily basis, with hundreds reportedly being killed or wounded. He said these alarming figures cover only major clashes. He further claimed that during their retreat and attempts to flee the battlefield, the forces were heavily targeted by dozens of missiles and suicide drones.

The spokesman for the Saudi-backed mercenary forces also revealed that Tariq Saleh himself was directly targeted in 18 drone attacks while at his command headquarters. He added that several other key command centers were also destroyed.

It is worth noting that Yemen’s Ansar Allah forces have reportedly carried out a major and successful operation in recent days, inflicting heavy losses on Saudi-linked mercenary forces and gaining control of several strategic areas, including the important maritime passage of Bab al-Mandab.
