Iraqi Ahl al-Bayt University Delegation Meets Jamkaran Mosque Trustee, Agrees on Academic and Cultural Cooperation

Shiite News: A delegation from Iraq’s Ahl al-Bayt University met with Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Seyyed Ali Akbar Ajaq-Nejad, the trustee of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque. The meeting focused on academic and cultural cooperation between Iran and Iraq under the initiative titled “Promotion of the Culture of Mahdism and the Decade of Human Unity.”

The meeting emphasized making full use of the capabilities of the Holy Jamkaran Mosque, Sahla Mosque, and the holy shrines in Iraq to promote the ideas and teachings of Mahdism at the global level.

Dr. Mohsen Qazvini, head of Ahl al-Bayt University in Iraq, proposed that, in view of the major gatherings held during the early days of Sha’ban, the first half of the month of Sha’ban should be designated as the “Decade of Human Unity.” He stressed that cooperation among academic and cultural institutions in Iran, Iraq, and the wider Islamic world is essential for presenting Mahdism as a global subject.

Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Ajaq-Nejad welcomed the initiative and emphasized that it should be developed in light of the ideas of Imam Khomeini and the martyrs of the Resistance. He also assured full cooperation in implementing the initiative, with the Holy Jamkaran Mosque and Sahla Mosque serving as its central hubs.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Ahl al-Bayt University in Iraq honored Hujjat al-Islam Ajaq-Nejad and Dr. Ayat Peyman with an “Academic Honor” in recognition of their valuable academic and cultural services.
