Peace Committee Assures New DSO of Cooperation in Meeting Led by Allama Ashfaq Waheedi

Shiite News: Allama Ashfaq Waheedi, a leader of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan and former member of the Rawalpindi Division Peace Committee, met with newly appointed DSO Kamran Kiani and Inspector Aslam and welcomed them on assuming their new responsibilities.

On the occasion, members of the Peace Committee and Sunni religious scholars assured the administration of their full cooperation in maintaining peace.

Allama Ashfaq Waheedi said that the community takes pride in administrative officers who give equal importance to followers of all religions in promoting interfaith harmony. The participants expressed their resolve to deal firmly with elements involved in spreading hatred, mischief and sectarian division.
