Senior Skardu Scholar Agha Syed Muhammad Abbas Rizvi Passes Away

Shiite News: Renowned religious scholar of Skardu, Baltistan, former president of the Anjuman-e-Imamia Baltistan, former member of the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly, and leader of Tehreek-e-Islami Pakistan, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Agha Syed Muhammad Abbas Rizvi, passed away today after suffering from illness for a considerable period.

The late scholar belonged to the Astana area of Skardu Constituency No. 2. Along with being a prominent religious scholar of his era, he also played an important role in politics.

His funeral prayer will be offered tomorrow, Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. at Jamia Masjid Skardu. A large number of political, religious, and social figures are expected to attend. Intellectual and political figures from Baltistan expressed deep sorrow over his death and paid tribute to his services.
