Pakistan and Iran Are Two Souls in One Body, Says Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman

Shiite News: Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, Emir of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, held separate meetings in Islamabad with Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam and Afghan Ambassador Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb. During the meetings, both ambassadors expressed condolences over the passing of Ameer-ul-Azeem and paid tribute to his religious and national services.

Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman said that Pakistan and Iran are “two souls in one body,” while the people of Pakistan and Afghanistan are bound together by deep religious, historical, and cultural ties. He stated that in the face of what he described as U.S. and Israeli aggression, Jamaat-e-Islami stands firmly with the government and people of Iran. He also called for an immediate and comprehensive ceasefire in Iran, Gaza, and Lebanon, describing it as an urgent necessity.

Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam said that cooperation among Pakistan, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Türkiye is essential for regional peace. Afghan Ambassador Sardar Ahmad Shakeeb added that close cooperation between Pakistan and Afghanistan is fundamental to achieving lasting peace in the region.

During both meetings, participants agreed on the importance of strengthening unity within the Muslim Ummah and working together for peace and stability across the region. They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining regular dialogue, building mutual trust, and resolving differences through cooperation.
