Saudi Oil Loading at Yanbu Port Falls 40% Amid Yemen’s Naval Blockade

Shiite News: Following an escalation in Yemen’s naval blockade against Saudi Arabia, a significant decline has reportedly been recorded in crude oil loading at the Saudi port of Yanbu.

According to media reports, maritime intelligence company Windward stated in a report that crude oil loading at Yanbu Port has fallen by 40% since July 19.

Meanwhile, a Yemeni source told Al Mayadeen that the Yemeni Armed Forces targeted three Saudi oil tankers during the past 48 hours.

The source further claimed that 16 Saudi vessels have been prevented from passing since last Monday and were forced to turn back.

According to the Yemeni source, since the enforcement of the naval blockade, no Saudi oil tanker, whether outbound or inbound, has been able to transit through the Bab el-Mandeb Strait.

The source added that the decision to ban Saudi vessels from entering the area remains in effect and that the Yemeni Armed Forces will not permit any Saudi ship to pass.
