Supreme Leader Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei’s Message to Hezbollah: Jihad and Resistance Are the Path to Salvation

Shiite News: Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei has issued a message in response to a letter from the Secretary-General of Hezbollah and its fighters.

The full text of the message is as follows:

بسم‌الله الرّحمن الرّحیم یا أَیُّهَا الَّذِینَ آمَنُواْ قَاتِلُواْ الَّذِینَ یَلُونَکُم مِنَ الْکُفّارِ وَلْیَجِدُواْ فِیکُمْ غِلْظَة… (Quran)

To Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of Hezbollah Lebanon, and to all the devoted, steadfast commanders and fighters of Hezbollah:

Peace, mercy, and blessings of Allah be upon you.

I received the letter from our brothers and sons—the faithful and courageous fighters of Hezbollah. The message reflected dedication to the cause of Islam, faith in the promises of the Holy Quran, and steadfast commitment to the objectives of Imam Khomeini and the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei. This message is indeed worthy of appreciation and praise.

Today, as nations around the world have grown weary of what the message describes as oppression by the United States and the Israeli government and actions that have brought destruction to humanity, it states that jihad and resistance remain the only path forward. It adds that those who remain steadfast on this path will receive the divine support promised by Allah.

The message says that Hezbollah has remained firm in the face of attacks by Israel and its supporters. According to the statement, this resilience has become a source of encouragement for nations seeking freedom from oppression. It also praises the people of Lebanon, particularly those in southern Lebanon, for their patience, sacrifice, and support.

It further states that the Islamic Republic of Iran considers support for what it describes as oppressed resistance fighters to be part of its strategic policy. The message also says that protecting Lebanon’s territorial integrity and bringing an unconditional end to Israeli military actions are presented as essential conditions for ending what it describes as a war imposed by the United States.

The message prays for Allah’s mercy upon those who were killed or wounded, their families, and all those who have migrated in the cause of God while enduring hardship and sacrifice.

It also pays tribute to former Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, previous resistance commanders, and those who were killed alongside them, stating that they transformed the movement into a strong and enduring force that, according to the message, brought honor and dignity to Lebanon through resistance.

In conclusion, the message prays for Allah’s blessings upon all fighters, those who have been killed or wounded, migrants, and their families through the prayers of Imam Mahdi, and ends with a Quranic verse وَنُرِیدُ أَن نَّمُنَّ عَلَی الَّذِینَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا فِی الْأَرْضِ وَنَجْعَلَهُمْ أَئِمَّةً وَنَجْعَلَهُمُ الْوَارِثِینَ والسلام علیکم و رحمة الله و برکاته۔.
