Shiite News: Renowned Indian Hindu scholar, social activist, and supporter of the Palestinian people, Pandit Vijay Kumar Sharma, attended the historic funeral ceremony of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and said that, as an Indian citizen and a follower of the Hindu faith, he believes all nations should build their relationships on the principles of mutual respect, justice, and human dignity.

He stated that major powers have no right to determine the destiny of other countries, nor should any nation impose its will on others through force or political pressure.

Pandit Vijay Kumar Sharma described Ayatollah Khamenei as a model of simplicity and spiritual leadership, saying that he was a leader who emerged from among the people and consistently emphasized supporting disadvantaged communities and safeguarding his country’s sovereignty. He added that Ayatollah Khamenei’s simple lifestyle and close connection with ordinary people are qualities admired by people around the world.

Referring to the Palestinian issue and the situation in the Middle East, Sharma said that the world is increasingly raising serious questions about the suffering of the Palestinian people. According to him, the tragedy of Karbala and the steadfastness of Imam Hussein (AS) represent a universal symbol of resisting oppression and refusing to surrender to injustice for people of all faiths who seek justice.

The Hindu religious leader criticized wars and foreign interventions against Iran, saying that ordinary citizens, children, and the elderly desire peace and stability rather than conflict. He said that the experiences of recent years have shown that political disputes and the pursuit of power have devastated many countries and displaced millions of people. Therefore, the international community should promote dialogue and peace instead of escalating tensions.

He further stated that even if all the world’s major powers stand together, the international community should not remain silent in the face of illegal or unjust actions. Moral and humanitarian principles, he said, must never be sacrificed for political interests. He clarified that he was not speaking on behalf of any political party but expressing a purely humanitarian and ethical perspective.

Concluding his remarks, Pandit Vijay Kumar Sharma said that today’s world needs leaders more than ever who make simplicity, high moral standards, and service to the people the foundation of their leadership, adding that Ayatollah Khamenei was a prominent example of such leadership.
