Deputy Commissioner Chairs Meeting on Controversial Signboard Issue in Larkana

Shiite News: A meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Larkana Manzoor Ahmed Chandio was held at his office to discuss the issue of a controversial signboard. The meeting was attended by SSP Chaudhry Ahmed Faisal and senior officials from the relevant government departments.

During the meeting, both parties presented their respective positions and arguments regarding the wording displayed on the disputed signboard.

The Shia side was represented by a three-member committee comprising Syed Shahid Hussain Shah, Allama Riaz Hussain Al-Hussaini, Central Deputy General Secretary of the Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, and Syed Noor Hussain Shah. Also present were Maulana Dr. Farman Ali Masoomi, Maulana Zuhoor Hussain Rohani, Maulana Mushtaq Hussain Mashhadi, Maulana Mazhar Hussain Abidi, Maulana Nasir Mehdi, and other religious scholars.

The committee presented its position based on constitutional, legal, religious, and historical arguments.

According to participants, the district administration reaffirmed its commitment to resolving the matter strictly within the framework of the Constitution and the law. All parties also pledged to maintain peace and public order while expressing confidence in the legal process.

Following the meeting, members of the Shia committee stated that they were satisfied with the arguments they had presented and expressed hope that the authorities would make a decision in accordance with the Constitution and the law.

They also appealed to the public, particularly young people, to use social media responsibly, exercise patience and restraint, and avoid sharing provocative or unverified information.

It is worth noting that a committee constituted by the district administration is currently reviewing the matter, and a final decision is expected after the completion of the relevant legal proceedings.
