CTD Operation: Wanted Lashkar-e-Jhangvi Commander Killed in Intelligence-Based Raid

Shiite News: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has killed a wanted militant commander during an intelligence-based operation.

According to details, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), Dera Ismail Khan Region, killed Khalid alias Commander, son of Sadduzai alias Alwazai, an alleged commander of the banned militant organization Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ), during an exchange of fire.

According to the CTD spokesperson, the slain suspect was wanted in several terrorism-related cases, including the targeted killing of martyred CTD Constable Muhammad Ali, as well as multiple other criminal investigations.

Based on verified intelligence, the CTD’s Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team conducted a targeted Intelligence-Based Operation (IBO) in the early hours of 18 July 2026 at Kurai, on the Tank–Dera Ismail Khan Road.

During the operation, security personnel surrounded the suspect and repeatedly instructed him to surrender while attempting to arrest him. According to the CTD, the suspect refused to surrender and instead opened fire on the CTD team, resulting in an exchange of gunfire.
