Shia-Sunni Unity Key to Defeating Enemies, Iran Leader’s Rep Says

Chabahar, IRNA – Hojatoleslam Mohammad-Taghi Vakilpour, the special representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, arrived in Sistan and Baluchestan on Tuesday to convey a special message to the local population, emphasizing the need for unity between Shia and Sunni communities.

Speaking at a meeting in Chabahar City, he emphasized that the unwavering unity between Shia and Sunni communities, coupled with their consistent presence on the national stage, remains the primary force neutralizing enemy conspiracies against Iran.

Vakilpour highlighted the strategic importance of the southeast region, describing Sistan and Baluchestan Province as a treasure of human and natural resources. He noted that the Leader holds a profound and strategic view of the province, prompting this special mission to honor the people’s historic contributions.

He praised the residents for their dedicated service during the Iraqi-imposed war during the 1980s and their current role in the nation’s progress.

The representative also addressed the sensitive regional climate, stating that the brotherly coexistence in the province serves as a global model and a source of deep frustration for adversaries.

He condemned recent hostile aggressions, including the crimes in Minab City, as evidence of the enemy’s desperation. Furthermore, he noted that the nation’s leadership, including Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, remains fully committed to managing the country’s strategic affairs and defense fronts with total strength. During the session, local religious and economic leaders reaffirmed their commitment to the Islamic Revolution’s ideals.
