Shiite News: A coordinated propaganda campaign has reportedly been initiated against Shia scholars and leadership by remnants of banned groups Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and Sipah-e-Sahaba. Takfiri elements, including Aftab Nazir, Aurangzeb Farooqi, Mufti Abdul Rahman Madni, Mufti Abdul Rahim, and others, are allegedly promoting anti-Iran narratives.

According to reports, these actors aim to sow sectarian discord and specifically target organizations and leaders promoting Shia-Sunni unity, including the ISOs, Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM), and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas. Analysts say these efforts are orchestrated to create divisions within the Muslim community in Pakistan, benefiting external actors.

Shiite observers emphasize that despite these attempts, Shia-Sunni unity in Pakistan remains strong, and efforts to destabilize communal harmony will be resisted. They urge the public to remain vigilant against misinformation and propaganda.
