Sheikh Khazali and Mr. Hakim discuss ways to break the political deadlock
The Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, and the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, discussed ways to overcome the political deadlock on Friday.
A statement from Sheikh al-Khazali’s office, said, “In a Ramadan atmosphere reflecting the spirit of unity and brotherhood, the Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, received the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, at his office in Baghdad.”
The statement added that “during the meeting, they discussed the overall political situation in the country, the formation of the government, and ways to overcome the political deadlock in a manner consistent with constitutional requirements and that fulfills the aspirations of the citizens.”
The statement explained, “The meeting also addressed a number of general issues of a political nature, while emphasizing the importance of unifying efforts among national forces to maintain political stability and move towards a more effective stage in managing state affairs and serving the people of Iraq.”
