The head of the Supreme Islamic Council, Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, and the head of the National Wisdom Movement, Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, stressed the need to expedite the resolution of constitutional entitlements.
The media office of the Supreme Islamic Council stated in a press release received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that “Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council, received Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the National Wisdom Movement, and they exchanged greetings on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. They also discussed the latest developments in the political landscape and the progress of efforts to form the remaining presidencies.” The statement
added that “during the meeting, both sides emphasized the necessity of expediting the resolution of constitutional entitlements in a way that preserves the smooth functioning of state institutions and the interests of the people, and ensures a smooth transition to the new phase. They affirmed their commitment to the unity of the coordinating framework, maintaining a spirit of responsible dialogue within it, and strengthening its cohesion, noting the importance of this in stabilizing the political system and overcoming the difficult challenges facing the country.
