Senior Religious Scholar Sheikh Ghulam Hussain Muqaddas Passes Away

Shiite News: Senior religious scholar and Patron-in-Chief of Muhammadiya Trust Mehdi Abad, Baltistan, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal Muslimeen Sheikh Ghulam Hussain Muqaddas has passed away after a brief illness in Islamabad. Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un.
The mortal remains of the deceased have been dispatched from Islamabad to Baltistan. After a grand funeral prayer in Skardu, he will be laid to rest in his ancestral town, Mehdi Abad.
Late Sheikh Ghulam Hussain Muqaddas devoted his entire life to the service of religion and the true school of thought.
He remained a patron of various sub-institutions of Muhammadiya Trust, including religious seminaries and orphanages, and played a pivotal role in establishing religious centers, mosques, and Imambargahs, often staying abroad to raise resources for these causes.
He was widely respected for his piety, humility, sincerity, and lifelong dedication to religious service.
His contributions will always be remembered by the Shia community of Baltistan and across Pakistan as a shining example of faith and selfless struggle.
