Unity Week is a manifestation of the unity and brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah, Imam Juma Skardu

Shiite News: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and may prayers and peace be upon Sayyidunā al-Anbiya wal-Mursalīn Muhammad, his pure progeny, and all his pure companions.

Hafta e Wahdat, which is observed from 12 Rabi’ al-Awwal to 17 Rabi’ al-Awwal, is actually a manifestation of the unity and brotherhood of the Muslim Ummah.

These are the blessed days in which we celebrate the blessed birth of our master, Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him), with devotion and respect, and at the same time we pledge to make his righteous life the focus of our individual and collective lives.

Imam Khomeini, through the announcement of Unity Week, sent a message to the Islamic world that the Ummah should rise above sectarian differences and turn to the true spirit of Islam, namely brotherhood, sisterhood, and unity.

The Holy Quran clearly instructs: And hold fast to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. (Surah Al-Imran: 103) — And hold fast to the rope of Allah and do not become divided.

The only solution to all the problems facing the Muslim Ummah today, whether it is the oppression of Palestine and other countries or Islamophobia and colonialist conspiracies — is unity and solidarity. When Muslims stand with each other as brothers, no power will be able to weaken them.

I appeal to the people of Pakistan and especially Gilgit-Baltistan to observe the Week of Unity not only as a religious duty, but also as a practical means of promoting unity among Muslims. Such programs should be organized in mosques, madrasas, Imambargahs and congregations that bring us closer, not further apart.

May Allah Almighty grant us all the ability to cooperate with each other for the upliftment of the Ummah, the development of Pakistan and the service of the deprived and oppressed classes. Ameen.
