MWM Launches Nationwide Relief Campaign for Flood Victims
Shiite News: In response to the widespread devastation caused by recent monsoon rains and floods, particularly in Gilgit-Baltistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen (MWM) Pakistan has announced the launch of a nationwide relief campaign.
According to details, the announcement was made through a statement issued by MWM’s Vice Chairman, Allama Syed Ahmad Iqbal Rizvi, from the party’s central secretariat.
He said that the recent floods have unleashed unprecedented destruction, wiping out dozens of villages, claiming over 700 lives, injuring thousands, and leaving countless families displaced and forced into a life of misery.
Allama Rizvi emphasized that in this critical hour, MWM has decided to extend immediate support to the distressed flood victims.
He appealed to all organizational units — provincial, district, tehsil, and local — to urgently establish relief camps.
He further urged people to contribute generously in the form of cash donations, dry food items, new clothes, utensils, tents, and medicines, which will then be dispatched to the central office for timely delivery to affected families.
He added that this initiative is not only a humanitarian and moral responsibility but also a means of attaining divine pleasure and immense reward through serving suffering humanity.
