Fears of Israeli intervention in Balochistan, an attempt to destabilize Pakistan, Al Jazeera report
Shiite News: An article published by writer and researcher Abdullah Mousavi in the renowned Qatari broadcasting organization Al Jazeera has expressed concerns that Israel could use the Indian-sponsored separatist terrorists active in Balochistan for its geopolitical interests through this project.
The Washington, DC-based think tank ‘Middle East Media Research Institute’ (MEMRI) announced the launch of the Balochistan Studies Project (BSP) on June 12.
The think tank was founded in 1998 and has always promoted a pro-Israeli agenda. Its founder, Colonel Yigal Carmon, served in the Israeli Military Intelligence Corps for over 20 years. MEMRI has also been involved in ‘unofficially’ gathering intelligence for the Israeli state since at least 2012.
The article fears that MEMRI will monitor Pakistan as well as Iran in view of Israeli interests through its presence in the region through the ‘Balochistan Study Project’, as Israel fears that Pakistan could potentially provide Tehran with tactical nuclear weapons.
According to the author, in this context, the launch of MEMRI’s Balochistan Studies Project can be seen as an attempt to use Israel’s geopolitical interests to exploit Indian proxies like Fitna-ul-Hindustan against Pakistan’s security.
MEMRI’s announcement of the Balochistan Studies Project contains numerous logical contradictions and misinformation regarding the reality of exploitation and resistance in Balochistan. For example, MEMRI’s website makes the premise that both Iran and Pakistan are conducting counter-insurgency campaigns in Balochistan, even though security forces in Pakistan are conducting operations against terrorists of Indian proxies like Fitna-ul-Hindustan, and these operations are strongly supported by the Baloch people.
Israel’s indications of support for terrorists operating in Balochistan indicate its intentions to increase Israeli influence in West Asia.
By supporting Indian-sponsored terrorists operating in Balochistan, Israel wants to establish ties with these terrorist groups and use them for its own interests.
Any hint of Israel’s involvement in terrorism in Balochistan is also linked to its strategic alliance with India, which itself has long been sponsoring terrorists in Balochistan.
