He said: “Islam does not allow honor killing in any form. The decision of the jirga and the resulting killing are completely against not only Islamic teachings but also constitutional and legal regulations.”

He demanded that: The murderers and those running the jirga be arrested immediately and given the strictest punishment in the light of anti-terrorism laws and Sharia. The un-Islamic monopoly of the tribal and chieftaincy system should be abolished. Liaquat Baloch said that along with the murderers, the jirga also deserves punishment.
Describing the incident as un-Islamic, immoral and inhuman, Deputy Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Liaquat Baloch said: “This brutality committed in the name of civilization, morality and honor is the greatest immorality. Along with the murderers, all the members of the jirga should also be punished according to the law.”

Sindh Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen President Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi said: “Such brutal measures are an insult to human dignity and Islamic teachings. Islam has declared honor killing a sin, it has no place in Sharia.”

Dr. Mufti Noman Naeem, Principal of Jamia Banuria Alamiya, said: “The killing of a woman in the name of honor is not only a serious crime against Sharia but also against humanity. Islam has declared unjust killing as the killing of the entire humanity.”
