Official Iraqi Delegation Arrives in Ankara Ahead of Bilateral Memoranda of Understanding Signing

An official Iraqi delegation arrived in Ankara on Monday to prepare for the signing of bilateral memoranda of understanding.

In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), the Iraqi Embassy in Ankara confirmed that the delegation, headed by Mohammad Redha Al-Husseini, Director of the Neighboring Countries Department at the Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs, arrived in the Turkish capital today. This visit is part of the ongoing preparations for the expected visit of Iraqi Prime Minister, Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, to Ankara later this week.

The statement further added that the delegation included representatives from several relevant Iraqi ministries and institutions. The primary objective of the visit is to finalize technical discussions regarding the memoranda of understanding to be signed with the Turkish side. These agreements are expected to cover a wide range of vital sectors, including security, transportation, planning, education, communications, and industry.
