Chehlum Martyrs of Karbala, Punjab Police completed security arrangements

Shiite News: Lahore Police has completed all the security arrangements on the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) Chehlam and the annual Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Data Ali Hajveri.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar says that on the occasion of Chehlum, full security arrangements will be made throughout the province including Lahore.

680 congregations and 382 processions will be held on the occasion of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS)’s Chehlam.

The IG said that more than 7,000 officers and personnel will be deployed for the security of 44 assemblies and 5 processions in Lahore.

IG Punjab has directed the RPOs, DPOs to self-monitor the arrangements of sensitive Majlis, processions.

The IG has said that snipers will be deployed on the roofs of the buildings along the routes of the processions. Lady officials will be posted on duty for search and security of women mourners.

Effective briefing should be given to security personnel about the sensitivity of duty.
