Double visa fee for Iran should be abolished, transact through banking, Allama Maisami

Central Secretary General of Shia Ulema Council Pakistan, Dr. Allama Shabbir Hasan Maisami, has demanded the government to resolve the difficulties through an easy visa policy for more than 150,000 pilgrims visiting the holy places of Iran and Iraq from Pakistan.
Double visa fee should be abolished in Iran, visa fee should be collected through banking, Dr. Allama Shabbir Hasan Maythmi expressed these views in National Press Club Islamabad.
Central Vice President Shia Ulema Council Pakistan Allama Khursheed Ali Anwar Jawadi, Central Deputy Secretary General Syed Sikander Abbas Gilani Advocate, Head of Coordination Committee Shia Ulema Council Federal Area Islamabad Syed Muhammad Ali Kazmi, Secretary Coordination Committee Shia Ulema Council Rawalpindi Haji Malik Entisar Haider, Maulana Fayyaz Hussain Muthari, Maulana Imdad Ghalo and other leaders held a press conference.
Dr. Allama Shabbir Hasan Maisami further said that one of the most important and sensitive issues that needs immediate attention, as every year, like all over the world, thousands of lovers of Rasool Allah (PBUH) and Ale Rasool A.S, go to the holy places of Iran, Iraq, Mashhad, Shrine of Hazrat Imam Raza A.S, Najaf Ashraf and Karbala. There are thousands of pilgrims ready to spend the day of Ashura in holy places, especially in Karbala.
And they expect that this year as well, the government of Pakistan will make better arrangements with the government of Iran and Iraq under their diplomatic relations.
Several times the authorities and the embassies of Iran and Iraq have been contacted waiting for a clear policy or plan of action to be announced while thousands of pilgrims are facing the a dire situation, causing frustration and anxiety among the people.
Central Secretary General Allama Shabbir Hasan Maisami further said we want to convey the concern of the people, especially thousands of pilgrims and caravan leaders, to the officials of the government of Pakistan and Iran and Iraq through the media that the year 2023 Immediately take appropriate measures to further ease and improve the policy of visa and travel facilities.
In particular, the Government of Pakistan has the responsibility of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Interior to pay attention to the problems and difficulties of its citizens and to remedy the alarming situation through an easy visa policy for visitors by the governments and embassies of Iran and Iraq.
He further said that the time is very short, pilgrims and caravan leaders have to arrange visas, travel resources and accommodation and other arrangements for Iran and Iraq, especially Karbala.
Time is running out, so the authorities should immediately issue the last year’s policies and make it easier for the public so that pilgrims can perform religious and devotional rituals with peace of mind.
