Former Governor GB Raja Jalal meets Iraqi Ambassador to discuss pilgrims’ issue
Shiite News: Former Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Raja Jalal Hussain Moqpoon met the Ambassador of Iraq to Pakistan Hamid Abbas Lafta in Islamabad.
In the meeting, the problems and facilities of visitors of Gilgit-Baltistan were discussed. Former Governor GB Raja Jalal Hussain Maqpoon said that due to the personal interest and efforts of the ambassador, the pending visa applications of pilgrims going to Iraq for Chelum Imam Hussain (A.S) were possible to be processed immediately.
Raja Jalal thanked the Iraqi Ambassador for the immediate permission for the pilgrims to enter Iraq and recommended providing better facilities to the pilgrims in the future.
The Iraqi ambassador apprised Raja Jalal of the proposed pilgrimage policy and safety measures and expressed his commitment that the health and safety measures of the pilgrims of Gilgit-Baltistan will be taken special care.
The ambassador assured the pilgrims of facilities and full cooperation with the people of Gilgit-Baltistan living in Iraq.
