Good news for Pakistani pilgrims heading to Iraq on Arbaeen

Shiite News: Disappointment is over, there is good news for Pakistani pilgrims of Aba Abdullah Hussain (AS).
The Iraqi government has allowed thousands of pilgrims stranded on the Iran-Iraq border to enter Iraq, including the issuance of pending visas for Pakistani pilgrims.

According to the details, the chairman of Majlis Wahdat Muslimeen Pakistan Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari held a very important press conference in Islamabad two days ago and as a result of the strong demands from the Pakistani and Iraqi foreign ministries, after mutual contacts and consultations between the Pakistani and Iraqi officials.

According to the sources, Federal Interior Minister Ranasanaullah contacted his Iraqi counterpart and informed about the problems faced by the Pakistani pilgrims at the visa and border and requested the entry of more than 5,000 pilgrims stuck on the Iran-Iraq border into Iraq with the issuance of urgent visas to the pilgrims.

Iraqi counterpart assured them of their full support from the Iraqi government and promised to issue immediate orders to the relevant authorities to ensure the issuance of pending visas and the entry of pilgrims into Iraq.

Apart from this, thousands of pilgrims wishing to visit Iraq on Chehlum-e-Imam Hussain (A.S.) expressed their gratitude to Federal Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Hina Rabbani Khar, Chairman MWM Allama Raja Nasir Abbas, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Sajid Turi and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah for resolving the issue of Iraqi visas immediately.
