Shia Scholars reject the curriculum, full of Ahle Bait (AS)’s enmity
Shia Scholars reject the curriculum, full of Ahle Bait (AS)’s enmity
Shiite News: Shia Scholars have rejected disputed Uniform National Curriculum. In this regard, a joint press conference was held in Jamiat Al Muntazir, in which Allama Muhammad Afzal Haider, Allama Dr. Muhammad Hussain Akber, Allama Dr. Shabbir Misami, Allama Syed Nazir Abbas Taqvi, Maulana Lal Hussain, Zahir Ali Akhwandaza expressed their views.
The speakers said that the Government of Pakistan presented the said curriculum in a very alluring manner. In the first phase, we reviewed the curriculum for 1st to 5th grade. After a thorough review, we pointed out blunders in it and also wrote a letter to the concerned authority with a request of due corrections but authorities didn’t pay heed to our reservations and implement the curriculum without any correction. Now, the Government is going to implement the Curriculum for 6th to 8th grade.
On this occasion, we once again appeal to the government to consider our suggestions in the new curriculum before implementation and request our Scholars should also inform the public that the curriculum is being imposed without our proposals.
They also pointed out that we have studied all the books with deep concern. In new books of Uniformed National Curriculum have topics of Islamic battles like Ghazwa-e-Ahad, Ghazwa-e-Khandaq, Ghazwa-e-Badar, and Ghazwa-e-Khaibar but without glory and the due performance of Hazrat Ali (AS). Similarly, the incident of Kerbala and topics of Ahle Bait (AS) have also been skipped. On the other hand, topics of disputed personalities have also been included, which will lead to sectarian hatred among society. We have informed the Federal Government and Mutahida Ulema Board of our reservations but their decisions are not clear yet.
They also warned the Government that if the curriculum will be rectified by taking all Islamic schools of thought then will be justified for a peaceful agitation.
