23rd death anniversary of Imam Khomeini being observed

Twenty Third (23rd) death anniversary of Imam Khomeini, founder of Islamic revolution in Iran, is being observed in all over the world including Pakistan.
In Karachi, a congregation was held on Friday night. Nasiran-e-Imam, Imamia Students Organisaiton, Imamia Organisation, Asgharia Organsiation, Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen and other organisatons jointly hosted the congregation.

The programme was a symbol of Shia-Sunni unity as a noted Sunni scholar Mufti Aslam Naeemi also participated and addressed there.

He said that Imam Khomeini influenced whole of the Muslim world. He said that Pakistani Muslims were also under influence of Imam Khomeini. He said that Imam Khomeini was symbol of Sunni-Shia Muslims unity. He said that Pakistan should also take lesson from the Islamic revolution of Iran and Imam Khomeini’s leadership and teachings.

Allama Raja Nasir Abbas Jafri said that Imam Khomeini introduced a new type of politics in the world. He said that Imam’s struggle was based purely on Islam and Islamic teachings.

He said that Imam Khomeini’s ideology defeated secularism and Marxism. He said that Pakistanis love Imam very much. He said that Iran is role model for Pakistan. He said that Imam Khomeini was also a role model for world leaders and statesmen.

Hujjat-ul-Islam Hassan Salahuddin said that the personality of Imam Khomeini inspired whole of the Muslim world. He said that Imam was against the forces of oppression and he always defended the rights of oppressed and downtrodden people.

Kumail Shirazi, president, IO, highlighted different aspects of Imam Khomeini’s life. Agha Aftab Haider Jafri said that world changed after Imam Khomeini brought out revolution. He said that Imam Khomeini was true follower of Imam Hussain (AS). He said that he laid focus on education and training of youths.

A large number of youths and women also attended the congregation. Imamia Scouts, Nasiran Scouts and Hussaini Scouts also performed their duties. Shaheed Foundation, IO, AO, and other organisations had established bookstalls, blood camps.

It is relevant to add here that Iranian Cultural Centre has announced a programme of death anniversary of Imam Khomeini on Saturday night.

Payam-e-Wilayat has announced they would hold a seminar on death anniversary on June 9. Allama Jawad Naqvi will address there.
