PPP seeks MWM support in by election for National Assembly seat from NA 249
In this connection, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leaders visited office of Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) today.
Waqar Mehdi and Qadir Khan Mandokhel called on Allama Sadiq Jafari, Allama Mubashir Hassan, Maulana Ali Anwar Jafari and Mir Taqi Zafar.
Waqar Mehdi said that PDM is not an electoral alliance, therefore, PPP candidate Qadir Khan Mandokhel is contesting the by- election.
He said that former MNA from NA 249 Faisal Vawda had not spent funds for betterment of the constituency. He said people should hold him accountable for millions of rupees he got but not spent for the purpose.
He said PPP requested MWM to support the PPP’s nominated contestant.
He said that Bilawal Bhutto owns Karachi.
Allama Mubashir recalled that MWM had supported PTI in the previous election for NA249 seat.
But he lamented that PTI MNA Faisal Vawda had done nothing to resolve the problems which people are facing with.
He said that the constituency lacks adequate roads, sewerage line system and education related issues.
He said that the MWM has informed PPP leaders about all those problems.
He said they would refer the PPP’s request to the political council to decide what to do.
Earlier, PMLF-GDA candidate Sardar Raheem had met MWM leaders to seek support.
