Pakistan top military general meets top Iraqi defence officials during an official visit to Iraq.

Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Nadeem Raza called on Defence Minister of Iraq Juma Enad Sadoon Khattab Al Jibori.

He also held separate meetings with Iraqi Chief of Staff General Abdul Ameer Rasheed Yar Allah Al Lami and Commander Iraqi Air Force Lieutenant General Shahab Jihad Ali.

According to an Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) media release, both sides deliberated upon various areas of interest/

They discussed security, defence cooperation and prevailing regional environment.

Moreover, they dilated upon measures to enhance the level and scope of bilateral military engagements.

They also discussed cooperation between both countries and reaffirmed to continue to forge deeper ties.

Meanwhile, ambassador of Iraq called on Senator Rehman Malik in Islamabad.

Both sides exchanged views on current situation and bilateral relations of the two countries.

Rehman Malik has remained Interior Minister and has authored a book to discuss takfiri terrorism.

Specially, he shared details and his viewpoint on Daesh ISIS terrorist group and their expanding network up to Afghanistan.

Besides, Rehman Malik has alerted Pakistanis that Daesh and allied takfiris pose serious threat to the entire region, including Pakistan.
