According to ISPR, the terrorists opened fire as the troops cordoned off the area following the security forces observed their presence in a compound.

During exchange of fire with the security forces in a compound in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan district, four terrorists lost lives.

Meanwhile, ISPR statement mentioned involvement of the terrorists in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, fire raids on security forces and improvised explosive device explosions.

During the conduct of operation, two security forces personnel including Naib Subedar Amin Ullah and Sepoy Sher Zamin embraced shahadat.

Moreover, four others soldiers got injured.
