Bitcoin funding to four Pakistani women of ISIS Daesh in Syria unearthed.

The four women originally belong to Lahore, capital city of Punjab province.

High official of Counterterrorism department (CTD) of Sindh Police Omar Shahid Hamid revealed this fact in a letter he sent to Inspector General (IG) Sindh police.

He further stated that he arrested a terrorist on charges of terror financing who had confessed to transferring funds through bitcoin.

Moreover, he said that he was sending funds to four women in Syria through bitcoin to facilitate Daesh (ISIS or IS).

According to the letter, the said four women have been receiving funds in Syria working for ISIS Daesh takfiri terrorist group.

Meanwhile, the DIG Omar Shahid Hamid also revealed another man based in the United Kingdom (UK) a part of the terror financing network.

He too has been transferring bitcoin currency to the women.

Earlier, CTD announced arrest of a student of Karachi’s NED University of Engineering and Technology for international terror financing.

DIG CTD Omar Shahid Hamid told a press conference at his office that they held Hafiz Mohammed Omer bin Khalid.

Furthermore, he said they arrested Hafiz Mohammed Omer bin Khalid over international terror financing charges when he was trying to flee the city.

Moreover, he said the CTD had received information that some people were collecting funds from Pakistan for Daesh ISIL militants in Syria through various means.
