Pakistan Sunni Shia parties alliance call for unity of Muslim world during their visit to Iran.

Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) leaders have visited the mausoleum of founder of Islamic Revolution of Iran Imam Khomeini in Tehran.

They met eminent and high officials of Iranian state and government institutions in Tehran and Qom.

They also had meetings with senior Shia Islamic jurisprudents.

Meanwhile, they also spoke to Pakistani students and Iranian media.

They slammed the Pakistan government for skipping Kuala Lumpur Islamic Summit.

The MYC leaders emphasised that Pakistan, Turkey and Malaysia should ensure reconciliation of Saudi Arabia with Iran and Qatar.

However, they made clear that Muslim world needs to strengthen unity against common enemy.

They demanded the US to end its meddling into political and defence (security) related matters in Islamic world forthwith.

Jamaat-e-Islami deputy chief Liaquat Baloch leads the MYC delegation.

Safdar Gilani, Maqsood Salafi Razit Billah and Tahir Habib Naqshbandi, Allama Arif Wahid, Saqib Akbar and Nasir Shirazi are part of the delegation.

The MYC leaders made clear that Palestine, Kashmir and Afghanistan remain the unresolved issues of Islamic world.

Thy reminded the Muslims they need to play their active role for settlement of these issues.
