Pakistan vows to help Persian Gulf peace thru Iran Saudi friendly ties amid growing tension in the region.

However, speaking to media in Multan, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi also expressed similar views.
He, said that Pakistan wished two brotherly Muslim countries of Iran and Saudi Arabia come close to each other.
He cited that Prime Minister Imran Khan has also spoken on the matter with the leaders of the states.
Moreover, FO spokesman further said that Pakistan would try its best in this regard.
Since, we wish peace and stability in region, we will definitely play our role to defuse tensions in the Persian Gulf region, he said.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan confirmed that US President Donald Trump asked him if he could deescalate US-Iran tension.
While addressing a news conference at the UN headquarters in New York, he confirmed that President Trump asked him so.
Pakistan to Mediate Between Saudia & Iran
Furthermore, he said that Pakistan would try its best to de-escalate tensions between Iran, the US and Saudi Arabia.
Imran Khan also hinted that Trump talked of another deal after de-escalation.
Therefore, he conveyed this to the Iranian President whom he met on the sidelines of UN General Assembly summit 2019.
Moreover, Prime Minister Khan said that they are trying their best, but he can’t reveal more than that.
