Several Saudi Forces Killed in Yemeni Army Attacks

The forces of the Yemeni army and Popular Committees, in retaliatory attacks against the Saudi-led coalition, killed several Saudi servicemen in the kingdom’s southwestern provinces of Najran and Jizan.

According to the Arabic-language al-Masirah television network, the Yemeni forces on Wednesday launched a military operation against the Saudi-led coalition positions near the kingdom’s al-Khazrae crossing in Najran.

Yemeni army soldiers, backed by fighters from allied Popular Committees, have increased attacks against positions held by Saudi mercenaries in several provinces across the conflict-ridden country in the past two months. At least 57 Saudi regime’s serviceman were killed in Yemen in September, Saudi media reported.

The attacks against Saudi forces come in retaliation for the continued massacre of civilians and destruction of Yemen’s infrastructure by the Saudi-led coalition.

Yemen’s defenseless people have been under massive attacks by the coalition for more than two and half years but Riyadh has reached none of its objectives in Yemen so far.

Since March 2015, Saudi Arabia and some of its Arab allies have been carrying out deadly airstrikes against the Houthi Ansarullah movement in an attempt to restore power to teh Saudi-backed fugitive former president.

Over 12,000 Yemenis, including thousands of women and children, have lost their lives in the deadly military campaign.
