Specialized Criminal Court sentences man to death for joining al-Qaeda

The Specialized Criminal Court in the capital today convicted Walid Hassan Mohammed al-Razzaqi of joining an armed group affiliated with al-Qaeda and participating in the killing of several security personnel.
The court, presided over by Judge Mohammed al-Sufyani and with Prosecutor Salah al-Jantabi present, sentenced the convicted man to death by firing squad.
