An Emirati officer was killed after Yemeni troops launched a rocket attack against Saudi border areas in retaliation for the kingdom’s ongoing bombardment against the Arab country.

First Lieutenant Abdul Aziz Saleh Sarhan Al Kaabi was killed during the Yemeni army’s retaliatory attacks on a military base in Southern Saudi Arabia on Thursday.

The first officially accounted Emirati casualty in the Saudi aggression against Yemen was declared in June when the UAE announced death of one its officers helping Saudi Arabia in its massacring of the Yemeni people.

Three Saudi soldiers and one trooper from the UAE were killed after Yemeni troops launched a rocket attack against Saudi border areas in retaliation for the kingdom’s ongoing bombardment against the Arab country.

On June 25, the UAE military officials confirmed the death of Officer Hazim bin Obaid al-Ali in attacks on the Saudi border city of Najran.

After Ansarullah’s major gains in the fight, Riyadh launched airstrikes against Yemen on March 26 without a UN’s mandate. Saudi Arabia aims to undermine the Ansarullah popular fighters and restore power to fugitive President Mansour Hadi, who is a staunch ally of Riyadh.

Despite Riyadh’s claims that it is bombing the positions of the Ansarullah fighters, Saudi warplanes are flattening residential areas and civilian infrastructures.

The monarchy’s aerial bombardments have so far claimed the lives of at least 5,122 people, mostly women and children.
