Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Minister Jamal Amer met on Tuesday with the Senior Advisor to the Office of the Special Envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General for Yemen, Fatima Al-Zahraa Lengi, and the Director of the Envoy’s office in Sana’a, Mohammed Al-Ghannam.

In the meeting, Minister Amer emphasized that the one concerned with persuading him to proceed with the peace steps is Riyadh, which submitted to the US dictates and stopped signing the roadmap that was going well, after the US administration conditioned the implementation of the roadmap and the start of paying salaries on Sana’a stopping its military operations in the Red Sea, in support of the Zionist war of annihilation against the people of Gaza, which was confirmed to be rejected due to the unconnectedness between the two files.

He reiterated that Yemen’s position will continue to provide support and assistance to the Palestinian brothers until the military aggression ends and food, medicine and fuel enter Gaza Strip, as a humanitarian and moral duty towards the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist entity against the people of Gaza Strip with American and European support.

The FM stressed that in the framework of confidence-building efforts, the UN Special Envoy to Yemen is expected to continue working on the implementation of the roadmap , to express this clearly and openly.

“The easiest way to the road to peace is to start implementing the agreed roadmap,” he said, referring to the readiness of the Sana’a government to sign the roadmap if the Saudi regime is serious about making it a reality, as it is an integral party to the war on Yemen.

For her part, the Senior Advisor to the Office of the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Yemen explained that the UN continues its good offices to reach peace and a peaceful and comprehensive Yemeni-led political settlement.
