Saudi Airstrikes Hit a girl’s School in Ta’izz, Kill Dozens

Saudi military aircraft pounded a girl’s school in Yemen’s Ta’izz on Monday, and claimed the lives of scores of students.

The Saudi warplanes bombarded a girl’s school in the Southwestern province of Ta’izz and left large groups of students buried under the rubble.

In as similar attack on April 14, the kingdom’s fighter jets staged massive bombing raids on a school in a Sunni-populated area in the city of Ma’rib, located about 120 kilometers (74 miles) East of the capital Sana’a.

There was no immediate report on the exact number of the casualties, but local sources said the raid has claimed the lives of dozens of schoolgirls.

Saudi Arabia launched its bombing campaign against Yemen on March 26 in an attempt to restore power to fugitive President Mansour Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

The Monarchy’s attacks have so far claimed the lives of at least 3,005 civilians, mostly women and children.

Despite Riyadh’s announcement on Tuesday that it was halting the bombing campaign, the Saudi warplanes are still bombing residential areas across Yemen.
