Removal of top commander in Yemen war proved incompetence of Saudi Army: Report

A report published by the Washington Institute on Middle East Policy says that the Saudi army’s defeat in Yemen’s war is obvious because Houthis (Ansarullah) now control large populated-areas.
According to Alkhabar Alyemeni website, a report prepared by Simon Henderson, who specializes in energy matters and the conservative Arab states of the Persian Gulf, added that the decision to remove Fahad bin Turki, commander of the Saudi Forces, increases speculation on the policies of Yemen’s war and opposition of the royal family to the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
He said the growing inadequacy of the Saudi army shows that Mohammed bin Salman and his younger brother Khalid bin Salman are seeking a diplomatic exit from Yemen’s war.
Although bin Salman is the owner of the decision, he seems to be afraid from plans that prevent him from succeeding his elderly father.
Henderson added that allegations of corruption against Fahad bin Turki only spread rumors of defeat in Yemen and defeat in other cases, as senior Saudi princes are seldom removed from government positions.
