Saudis targeted 300 Health Facilities, Hundreds of Ambulances: Minister

The Minister of Health in Sana’a government, Dr. Taha al-Mutawakil, confirmed today, Sunday, that Saudi-led Coalition targeted Yemeni health sector in a systematic and studied manner during 5 years of war.

Al-Mutawakil during his conference in Hajjah province, affirming that the aggression targeted more than 300 hospitals and health facilities in Yemen.

He said that hundreds of ambulances targeted by the Saudi airstrikes and killed paramedic and the patient.

He pointed out that health situation is very bad in the occupied areas controlled by Saudi-backed Hadi’s government and the citizens there lack a real health care.

Regarding the medical bridge that the United Nations promised to run to treat patients, the Minister said that “The international medical bridge is a big lie and only 50 patients were transferred, and we have thousands of difficult medical cases in urgent need of treatment in the outside.”

The Minister of Health indicated that Hajjah governorate has suffered from deprivation during the past decades, and it has only eight rural hospitals serving 31 districts.

The Minister of Health confirmed that there are no coronavirus cases in Hajjah province.
