Yemeni forces Operation; 37 Sites Cleared, 41 Saudi-Mercenaries Killed

Brigadier General Yahya Sare’e announced, on Wednesday, that in Yemeni forces Operation dozens of Saudi-mercenaries was killed and wounding as well as 37 sites was cleared in a successful offensive of the Army and Popular Committees across from Najran.

“The heroes of the Army and Popular Committees were able during the past days to clear and tighten control of 37 sites in Khob Wa Asha’af in Al-Jawf governorate across from Najran in a successful offensive called ‘Loyalty to Martyrs Operation’,” Brigadier Sere’e said in a statement.

He explained that “the operation was carried out by specialized units of various types of brigades Sammad and brigades 29 Mika Giants and 145 infantry. Our fighters progress towards enemy positions from two tracks.”

“In the first track, 7 sites were cleared in the strategic Wair mountain range,” he added. “In the second track, Al-Salila Front was cleared and controlled entirely towards Medrak valley and progressed to the Wair front. There were 30 sites cleared and controlled in this track.”

The spokesman of the Armed Forces asserted that the operation caused widespread confusion among the enemies and led to the death of more than 41 mercenaries and the injury of dozens, including leaders, as well as capturing a number of them while the rest of have fled.

“Our fighters were able – thanks to God – to destroy more than 24 military vehicles and various weapons of the enemy, besides seizing a quantity of weapons.”

Brigadier Sare’e pointed out that the enemy had tried to support its mercenaries with dozens of raids, but to no avail.

Sare’e added that “our fighters have encountered 5 creeps and thwarted 3 attempts to infiltrate by the Saudi-mercenaries in an attempt to restore the sites, but suffered further losses.”

He noted that the qualitative process has been documented by the lens of the Military Media Documentation Unit and will be broadcast later.

The spokesman of the Armed Forces praised the role of the sheikhs, tribes and the sons of Dohm tribe and their standing with their brothers in the Army and Popular Committees to liberate their areas.”
