Kuwait husseiniyaat continue mourning in Ashura,and Demand Holiday on Ashura

Marking the anniversary of martyrdom of Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), in At-Taff Tragedy 61 AH, Husseini majalis were in continuation across the country.

Husseiniyaat have taken wrap of black to observe shaâ€™aâ€™er for Ashura Al-Hussein (AS) while speakers throw light on targets of Husseini revolution in which truth got victory over falsehood.

Sheikh Muhammad Baqir Al-Moqaddesi addressed at husseiniyah al-Haydariyah, Sheikh Ali Al-Gharwi at deewan Sayyed Mohamed Baqer Al-Mohri, and Sheikh Habib Al-Kadhim at husseiniyah Maâ€™arfy.

MeanwhileÂ Kuwaiti Shia cleric Syed Mohamed Baqer Al-Mohri has demanded from the government to announce public holiday on Ashura â€“ Muharram 10 â€“ honoring the blood of Abi Al-Ahraar Al-Imam Al-Hussein (peace be on him) and respecting his grandfather Prophet of Allah (peace be on him and his holy progeny).

In a statement issued on the beginning of Muharram, Al-Mohri said we have been demanding the same for many years because Al-Imam Al-Hussein (AS) belongs to all Muslims and he fought against terrorism, oppression and barbarism.
