Leaked documents reveal how the United States and Gulf countries shipped weapons to terrorists under cover of diplomatic missions
A report by the Bulgarian journalist “Diliana Gaitandzeeva” published under the heading “350 Diplomatic Journeys Carrying Weapons for Terrorists” revealed a secret program to provide weapons to terrorists in Iraq and Syria as well as anti-Houthi militias in Yemen.
According to the report, “Geithandzeva” documents that leaked to it by unknown sources show that the Azerbaijani airline “Silkey” was contracted by companies in the United States and Israel and the Balkans, to the armies of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and even US special operations forces .
The Geitandzeva field reports also revealed many weapons related to this secret trade in Aleppo after it traveled itself there to investigate this story.
Although the Gaytendzeeva report was published a month ago, it attracted more interest in alternative media after reports revealed that it was later interrogated by the Bulgarian intelligence services and then expelled from its newspaper for this story.
At least 350 diplomatic flights by the Silkie Airlines, a company run by the state of Azerbaijan, have transported weapons all over the world, specifically to different war zones over the past three years, according to Jaitandzeva.
It has written that the planes carried “tens of tons of heavy weapons and ammunition to terrorists under the cover of diplomatic flights.”
Gaitandzeva says documents condemning Silk Air Airlines were sent to her via Twitter by an anonymous Bulgarian.
According to the report, the documents include correspondence between the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry and the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Bulgaria.
The attached documents also include transit and landing orders in Bulgaria and many other countries in Europe, as well as the United States of America, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Turkey.
The documents show that Silk Air Airlines offers diplomatic flights to private companies and arms manufacturers in Israel, the Balkans, the United States, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, as well as the US military and the US Special Operations Command (OSOCOM).
The company also offered its services to the German and Danish armies for their assistance in Afghanistan, and also offered services to Sweden to help Iraq.
According to Gaitandzeeva, the cover of diplomatic flights has been used because it is exempt from checks, taxes and airline bills. For this reason, it was reported that Silkey aircraft transported “hundreds of tons of weapons to various locations around the world without any controls” .
The report states that the aircraft had been firing up to a full day for a few hours without a logical reason, believed to have been for repairs, refueling, etc., providing further evidence that the aircraft were already shipping weapons as a key task.
According to the documents received, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry has sent instructions to its embassies in Bulgaria and other European countries to require diplomatic authorization for Silkie Airlines flights. The Azerbaijani embassies then sent diplomatic notes to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Azerbaijan.
The host country requests a waiver. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the host country then sends a signed memorandum from the local civil aviation authorities granting the necessary exemption for the dangerous transport of goods.
These requests included, according to documents and report, information on the type and quantity of goods on board, as “heavy weapons and ammunition”.

“The responsible authorities in many countries (Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Turkey, Germany, the United Kingdom, Greece, etc.) have turned a blind eye
and allowed diplomatic flights to transport tons of weapons through civilian aircraft to meet military needs.”
US Link
The key clients of the Air Arms Flight program appear to be US companies offering weapons to the military command and command of special operations.
Nevertheless, in the cases addressed by Jaitandziva, all weapons that were transported were “non-standard” weapons, which meant that they were not used by the US military or the Special Operations Forces.
According to the Federal Contract Register, US companies have been awarded contracts worth $ 1 billion over the past three years under the “Non-American Arms Supply” program.
According to documents analyzed by Jetanzzeva, all of these companies used Silkie Airlines to transport arms, and in some cases Silkie Airlines were too busy to accommodate these cargo and transport operations, Weapons.
Saudi Arabian Link
The United States is by no means the only sponsor of Silkie Airlines, which provides diplomatic cover in arms transfers. There have been 23 diplomatic flights carrying arms from Bulgaria, Serbia and Azerbaijan to Riyadh and Jeddah, according to Gaitanzeva.
It should be noted here that Saudi Arabia clearly did not buy these weapons for itself, because Saudi Arabia uses only Western weapons.
It is clear that if these documents are accurate, these weapons are the ones that are shipped and transferred to terrorists in Syria and Yemen. Saudi Arabia also supplies weapons to southern Africa, where civil wars, warlords and terrorists are scattered because of the vast amounts of natural resources in that region.
UAE Link
The United Arab Emirates also uses Western weapons for its own army, but it also buys weapons that do not conform to Western standards and later transfers them to a third party, writes Gaitanziva.
